One is the inducement of fear - stark fear for high-level Spells - which is often an effect classified as Necromancy in some other fantasy RPG systems, and the other is horrible body-wrecking or Sanity-damaging Spells (as well as some enviromentally harmful ones), also something that in some other RPGs are classified as Necromancy.

		+	In the Ärth setting, Horror Magic is the only Realm out of 24 that has a source known with absolute certainty: It was invented by the Magocrats of Bretagne, former Druids who had seized control of their society, toppled the tradition of monarchy, and enslaved the non-druidic population, and it was invented for one purpose only: To make their subjects, and the rulers and populaions of neighbouring areas, ''fear'' the Magocrats.
